Review Policy

Aussie Owned and Read Review Policy

The gang at Aussie Owned and Read love everything about YA and NA books, and that includes writing reviews. We wouldn’t be able to call ourselves writers if we weren’t avid readers as well.

If you are an author or a publisher and would like to submit a book for review, we will gladly accept eBooks and hardcopy books in exchange for an honest review. Reviews are posted once a month on the first Thursday of the month. If demand is high we may also post a review on the third Thursday of the month.

Please email requests to aussieownedandread[at]hotmail[dot]com with review request in the subject line. Please tell us a little bit about the book and why you would like us to review it.

As we are an Australian blog primarily with an Australian focus, any requests to review books written by Australian authors, or books set Down Under, will take precedence. We will gladly accept most genres as our reading tastes are quite diverse, but since we focus on the YA and NA markets, we do not accept adult fiction and erotica. We will always try to match your title with a team member that enjoys reading your genre.

Reviews are the personal opinion and thoughts of whichever Aussie Owned and Read member has read the book in question. We will never ask for financial gain in exchange for a favourable review. All reviews are our honest opinions, and conducted free of charge. If one of our members loves a book, they will shout it to the stars and beyond. But it goes both ways. If we happen to not like a book for any reason we will strive to be tactful and respectful with our review.

We are also open to guest posts and occasional promotional spots for Australian authors. If you have something you would like to share with us, please use the contact page so we can discuss it with you and see if it’s a good fit for our audience.

Thanks,

The Aussie Owned and Read team

  1. Hi Aussie Writers
Do you read and review self-published YA novels? I published on Amazon—’Nothing Is Lost’—and have the paperback version which I’m happy to mail to you if you have any interest’.
    Many thanks
