Best Reading Weather

I’ve been on a break between finishing one book and edits for another. I’ve been reading. It’s been, of course, bliss. I’ve read sweet romances, a hotter NA and finally the series starting with ‘Daughter Of Smoke and Bone’ by Laini Taylor (which I really loved). And as the season has changed and we seem to be leaving winter behind I’ve been loving sitting out in the sunshine with my book.

It has got me thinking of getting outdoors and road trips – all with a book, of course. Hitting the road with books and time to enjoy them in new places.

Soon it will be summer and beach reads. Is there anything better than a book by the water with a cool drink to enjoy?

Following that there’s the change in leaves and crisp autumn days perfect for books too.

Which will bring us back to winter and snuggling in to read by the fire with a steaming hot chocolate at my side.

Obviously, all seasons are great for reading but I think, for me, maybe winter is best of all.

Agree? Disagree?

I always wanted to write. I’ve worked as a lab assistant, a pizza delivery driver and a high school teacher but I always pursued my first dream of creating stories. Now, I live with my family near Adelaide, halfway between the city and the sea, and am lucky to spend my days (and nights) writing young adult fiction.
