Today is poll day, and I want to hear from you. You are following and reading this blog because you’re interested in the Great Southern Nation and what it can bring to the literature world, right? Well, maybe, maybe not, but either way this question is for you:

What kind of things would you like to see in YA/NA books set in Australia?

Leave your answer in the coments below! Looking forward to hearing from you.

Katie Teller

    1. That could be diverse! I know Sydney alone is a melting pot for multiculturalism. I remember multicultural days at school doing Greek dancing, eating Turkish food and watching a Chinese dragon performance. Love it!

  1. I love when its set in Aussie schools so using our school system. kids wear uniform, we go Feb-Dec, we don’t eat in a cafeteria etc. and the flow on effect is what Aussie kids do after school so not cheer leading or track, but AFL, Rugby, Netball, swimming etc.

      1. I agree with Emmaly. There are so many books set in America and I love reading books set in Australia because of the familiarity. I can connect with them on a whole other level than books set overseas.
