Introducing… Stacey Nash

Umm, how do I follow all that awesome? Welcome back to Aussie Owned and Read for the second last introduction. I’m Stacey, and if you read the launch post you already know how I came to be here as part of the Aussie Owned Team. I’m from New South Wales and live in the glorious Hunter Valley with my hubby and three kids.

If you’re wondering why I wanted to be a part of this blog. The answer is simple, I live and breathe books and have done so all my life. I have a passion for Young Adult literature and have read it for as long as I can remember. My love started with the classics by both foreign and aussie authors; titles like The Outsiders (SE Hinton), Tomorrow When The War Began (John Marsden) and Little Women (Louisa May Alcott). I have also written two novels, both YA Science Fiction, and am currently working on my third, a YA Fantasy.

Like most writers I know, I’m kind of shy and really hate talking about myself. So I had a hard time coming up with an icon that I relate to. After much deliberation, I decided that I’m like Phar Lap. This legend of a horse was a great racer because he had a massive heart. In the end, it’s what killed him—but let’s not dwell on that. Like Phar Lap I’m all about heart. I wear mine on my sleeve and I’m passionate about the the things I love. Like the literary and writing community– it’s such a compassionate, giving, huge hearted place and I want to give back to it and you.
I like to hang out on twitter, facebook and at my own blog.
